Sarri Apologises To Chelsea Fans For Another Bad Away Performance
Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has apologised to fans of the club after the Blues were humiliated in grand fashion by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Chelsea though started pretty well and with intent in the opening three minutes went behind thanks to lacklustre defending and positioning in the first minute.
From that point, the floodgate was thrown open and City won the half 4 – 0 before adding two goals in the second half to complete the route.
The Italian tactician who has come under serious attack for the way Chelsea has played in recent matches apologised to fans after the match, saying he is trying his best to things around.
“I am doing my best and I’m trying to get the players to do their best but at the moment I can only say sorry because in the last three away matches we played very badly,” Sarri said.
Chelsea are up next in the Europa League where they take on Malmoe FF. After their appearance in Europe, they have Manchester United next in the FA before they again go up against City in the Carabao Cup final
